The Power of Air Excavation
New technology that allows for easy, safe, and cost-effective excavation using the power of air. The equipment is designed and built to safely remove soils without using water, simply removing the soil you need with all removed soil ready-to-use right away.
Discover the power of air excavation for your next project!
A simple, free material
Expert, precision excavation that uses the safest, most abundant, and free material around… air.
No disruptions
No heavy machinery to get in the way of people and equipment. Works alongside what you’re already doing.
Safest choice
The only excavation option that never creates slurry, or muddy job sites that create people and equipment hazards.
Environmentally friendly
No contamination of groundwater or waterways and no need to remediate or dispose of removed materials into landfills.
The Equipment
Debris Removal Solutions uses the most advanced air suction excavation equipment in the industry. Our fully self-contained units have everything needed to get right to work preparing ground or exposing undergound infrastructure for repair or replacement.
This means that your jobsite is always neat, orderly, and safe because no extra materials, tools, or equipment are needed or to get in the way.
- Twin fan suction @ 24,000 CFM
- Automated filter cleaning
- Max suction at all times
- Ti-15 filter efficiency @98% – 4 microns
- Patented three-stage system
- Material is always dry
- Gravity separated material into container
- 10″ diameter suction pipe
- 180° swivel arm
- Up to 30′ reach with mega arm
- Wireless remote controlled for safety
- Safe dig rubber suction tube
- Suction tube won’t harm utilities
- Six cubic yard capacity, side tipping
- Soils are immediately reusable
Everything is self-contained for safety.
The Process
By using air and suction, you can probe and uncover underground pipes, wires, and other infrastructure without damage or weakening of surrounding soils.
All removed soils are kept dry and clean, eliminating the need for soil cleansing, remediation or disposal into landfills. Simply reuse the soil right away or move it to another part of your worksite as back fill or new base.
Soil Break Up
Compressed air to is used to break up soil into easily vacuumed particle or chunk size
Soil Removal
Vacuum equipment is used to remove loose soils from work area
Separation
Material is separated and collected in storage container
Filtered Air
All air is filtered and placed back into the atmosphere
Soil Storage
Because soils are clean and dry they can be stored onsite or offsite without remediation
Soil Reuse
Removed soil is always ready to be placed back into excavated area or reused elsewhere on the jobsite or facility
Everything is done onsite, lowering cost.
The Air Excavation Advantage
Traditional excavation techniques have included heavy equipment for digging or, more recently, hydrovac equipment.
While both have their place and are viable methods of excavation there is only one choice for clean worksites, fast mechanical support, worker and equipment safety, better regulatory compliance, and extreme damage control—dry suction air excavation.
Air Excavation
-
- Uses air pressure to break up soils and prepare for removal
- Worksites are kept dry, minimizing task or process disruptions
- Greatest excavation precision possible
- Safest option for preserving underground infrastructure integrity
- Safest job site option – no mud, slurry, or slippery surfaces
- Soils are usually kept onsite, ready for reuse when needed
- Self-contained equipment keeps worksites free from clutter
- Low to no risk of ground or surface water contamination
- Never compromises surrounding soil strength through introduction of water
- Reduced project cost due to no additional water or disposal needed
HydroVac Excavation
-
- Uses high-pressure water to loosen and weaken soils
- Creates muddy workspaces due to large water volume
- Increases slip, trip, and fall risk due to slippery and muddy surfaces
- Soils need remediation before reuse, or sent to landfill
- Often requires support vehicles and equipment for water and slurry transport
- Slurry containment required to keep ground and surface water from contamination
- Good for extremely hard packed and large rocky soils for fast excavation
- Additional project cost associated with water and disposal
Speed, safety, precision, and saves money.
